Daisies Against Patriarchy - Ebook
Why are you having poached eggs again?
Is it because you want to cut patriarchy in half,
Daisies Against Patriarchy, inspired by Věra Chytilová's 1966 feminist film Daisies, is the fruit of a seven-year artist-curator relationship between artist Luna Ece Bal and curator Naz Beşcan. The book, published in 2020, describes a five-day process of living, working and producing together in September 2017. With Beşcan's poems, Bal's drawings and photographs taken with their phones, this e-book with fragments questions the possibility that a patriarchy of a distorted and subjective reality can be an alternative to constructed objectivity.
